In January 2011, Sydney welcomes international and Australian artists, makers, collectors and enthusiasts for the 15th biennial Ausglass conference — Peripheral Vision.
The beautiful facilities at Sydney College of the Arts will welcome a world-class list of international and Australian speakers along with a diverse selection of exhibitions and pre and post-conference workshops. This innovative conference promises to provide all the classic elements of past Ausglass conferences along with thought provoking theme that opens new dialogue for the medium.
The conference will address contemporary practice, technical exploration and innovation, education, critical discourse, institutions and galleries and collecting.
As a component of the conference program the organising committee have put together a vibrant series of artist talks, demonstrations, exhibition program, studio tours and workshops to be hosted SCA and a host of public, commercial galleries, artist run spaces and private artist’s studios in and around Sydney.
